With more than 50 years of experience in recycling natural, synthetic, and technical fibres, Procotex has developed a particular interest in ballistic equipment. The para-aramid fibres inside are a great source for other applications. The focus on recycling and on sustainability is more than just words. The numbers say it all:
– 15.000 tonnes/year synthetic fibres
– 8.000 tonnes/year natural fibres
– 6.000 tonnes/year flax fibres
– 2.000 tonnes/year technical fibres.
We create value by providing our partners with a safe and environmentally friendly solution to demilitarize body armor and prepare it for new applications.
We guarantee:
– reliable collection and secure storage
– close cooperation
– high volume capacities
– financial compensation
Additionally, our partners benefit from:
– full service
– saving on landfill costs
– an environmentally positive recycling solution
– certified demilitarization
We operate as following: We first notify our supplier’s contact upon secure delivery to our site. The materials remain in the secured area until discrepancies (if any) are resolved. Vests are accurately and securely deconstructed as soon as possible. Further dismantlement is performed, and the para-aramid is collected and recycled in a sustainable way. Finally we issue a certification of demilitarization.
Procotex can also offer an alternative on-the-spot solution by using a portable guillotine unit to ensure immediate and full dismantlement with your supervision.
So trust us to demilitarize and repurpose your body armor for a sustainable tomorrow.
